This device firmly holds the ankle and keeps the foot pointed. It consists of the following parts:
- Main body: crafted from durable, 4 mm thick cowhide leather. It is 10 cm wide at the ankle and extends forward to the base of the toes.
- Ankle straps: also made from 4 mm thick cowhide and securely riveted to the main body. Each strap holds three welded D-rings and can be adjusted in length with a buckle.
- 2 removable straps: these fasten the foot section around the heel and the base of the toes for a snug fit.
- Padding: An 8 mm thick foam layer is sewn between two layers of butter-soft cowhide leather. This padded section is attached to the sturdy leather with only a few rivets, allowing it to lie as smoothly as possible against the leg.
