I made this special mask from buttery soft cowhide.
\nThe cowhide framing the mouth and eye cut-outs is of medium thickness, but also sufficiently soft. I use this leather to make the plait on the top of the head as well, consisting of a total of 60 strands, each approximately 50 cm long. The plait is secured to the top of the head by four strong black snap fasteners, making it removable, which has two advantages:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. you can use the ponytail as a whip,<\/li>\n
  2. you can use the mask without the ponytail, because the 4 black snap fastenings are barely visible<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
