The burgundy leather I use for the main parts and the connecting straps is about 2 mm thick, strong cowhide, with another layer of leather underneath, and the grey is butter soft but strong cowhide. I used the latter to cover the padding with sponge, and used the same for the straps, in three layers.<\/p>\n
All metal accessories (buckles, half rings, carabiners, rivets) are made of solid copper. I put 2 half rings on the wrist cuffs and 3 half rings on the ankle cuffs.<\/p>\n
