That's why I recommend cleaning them occasionally as follows.<br \/>\n- In case of normal use it is enough to clean them with a soft, wet and soaped textil, then with clean watered soft textil, then dry, soft textil.<br \/>\n- If you use your toys with different partners, you clean that the way above after every use, or use some neutral disinfectant. (If you have questions on the neutrality of the disinfectant you plan to use, you can test it on a small surface of the toy first. If it doesn\u2019t impair the material, you can use it.)<br \/>\n- Never use rough textil, sponge or other material on the leather!<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>skin care:<\/u><\/strong> I work almost exclusively with skins that are barrel dyed, i.e. the entire cross-section is coloured. Even these, however, may become worn with use, thus losing their aesthetic value. In such cases, I recommend that you obtain one of the commonly available commercially available waxed or uncolored leather polishes of suitable color. These are typically sold as shoe polishes, but can be applied to any leather product. In general, they do not lose their colour after a short drying time thanks to the wax and they restore some of the lost fat content of the leather, which also increases the product's longevity.<br \/>\nAfter long term use leather could become hard. In this case you can rub the material with glycerine or beeswax. In this case you have to count with that sometimes the glycerine, the wax or the color of the leather can trickle after this surface treatment.<br \/>\nIt suggested to store your leather toys in soft textil. Without package they can be scratched, and if you put them to a plastic package, they could became fungous.<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>what not to do:<\/u><\/strong> the leathers I use (typically cowhide, occasionally sheep and goatskins) are made to be hard-wearing and durable, but a few things can shorten their life considerably. For example<br \/>\nNever put your leather toys to water for a long term periode! For example don\u2019t clean them in water or beware of wearing or using them in rainy weather!\n- In those case if it happened somehow afterall, never put them onto the radiator for drying them!
